ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly journal entries for Corporate.
- Review monthly journal entries for two locations.
- Account analysis and reconciliations for various GL and subsidiary ledgers for Corporate.
- Support Controller in reviewing the overall financial accuracy for all the assigned locations.
- Support Controller in the annual external audit and provide needed information.
- Participate in the preparation of the Consolidated Financials and Month End reporting in accordance with GAAP accounting standards.
- Prepare AR reserve calculation and allocate accordingly.
- Review AP and AR Aging for accuracy and ensure reconciliation to GL.
- Review Vendor/Customer Credit Applications.
- Assist with processing capital expenditures in accordance with company policy.
- Assist in preparing quarterly tax estimates with the external tax preparer.
- Prepare Sales and Use Tax Filings.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (business tax, property tax, etc.).
- Lead any governmental audits.
- Manage the team of accounting professionals, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Document policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Prepare ad hoc analysis.
Requirements:
- 5 years or more of related accounting experience required (public accounting experience is a plus).
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration required.
- Certified Public Accountant preferred.
- Tax filing experience preferred.
- JDE, Bottomline and Planful software experience preferred.
- Proficient PC Skills – Word, Excel (Intermediate level), PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
- Manufacturing experience with cost/inventory accounting experience highly preferred.
