ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly journal entries for Corporate.
  • Review monthly journal entries for two locations.
  • Account analysis and reconciliations for various GL and subsidiary ledgers for Corporate.
  • Support Controller in reviewing the overall financial accuracy for all the assigned locations.
  • Support Controller in the annual external audit and provide needed information.
  • Participate in the preparation of the Consolidated Financials and Month End reporting in accordance with GAAP accounting standards.
  • Prepare AR reserve calculation and allocate accordingly.
  • Review AP and AR Aging for accuracy and ensure reconciliation to GL.
  • Review Vendor/Customer Credit Applications.
  • Assist with processing capital expenditures in accordance with company policy.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly tax estimates with the external tax preparer.
  • Prepare Sales and Use Tax Filings.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (business tax, property tax, etc.).
  • Lead any governmental audits.
  • Manage the team of accounting professionals, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Document policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis.

Requirements:

  • 5 years or more of related accounting experience required (public accounting experience is a plus).
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration required.
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred.
  • Tax filing experience preferred.
  • JDE, Bottomline and Planful software experience preferred.
  • Proficient PC Skills – Word, Excel (Intermediate level), PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
  • Manufacturing experience with cost/inventory accounting experience highly preferred.
